Who Are We ?

Members of FSAACA consist of many types. Commercial pilots at all levels, including senior Airline & Transport Pilots, Military pilots, both former and active, Private pilots and Student pilots, but also Non-pilots and those “Just Interested.”

Our aircraft range far and wide, from WW 1 aircraft, Waco’s and Traveliaires of the 20’s & 30’s through Cubs, War Birds, Cessna 140’s, 170’s, 195’s, and many others, to present day aircraft and many beautiful homebuilts. There are no real qualifications for membership but a love of old airplanes sure helps.

How did We Begin ?

FSAACA along with EAA Chapter 454
are the parents of Sun N’ Fun but we were active as Florida’s number one aviation club long before Sun N’ Fun was dreamed of and long before we became EAA’s Chapter One in their newly created Antique & Classic Division, (now known as the Vintage Division). Many years ago we built “Our Home” known as The Vintage Hospitality Building on the Sun N’ Fun grounds and are the host chapter there every year during the Spring Fly-In. Drop in and see us.

What do we do?

Over the years we have had many special and important goals from building the Laird Super Solution, which is now at the EAA museum in Oshkosh, to providing money for qualified youths to get their pilots licenses. These days our most important contribution to aviation is providing a Fly-In every month in Florida or Georgia for the benefit of our members and anyone else who loves the sport. We extend a hearty invitation to any and all who would like to join us either as a member or as our guest at one of our events. A schedule of which is available on this site.
Do come, you will be so glad you did.
